Her current media include gesso, ink and gilding with expressive and gestural mark-making exploring the energy and memory of gesture.
She exhibits through galleries, with art consultancies and at art fairs including The Other Art Fair (London & New York) and the Affordable Art Fair Battersea. Much of her work is commissioned for specific locations by both private individuals and corporations including the Berkeley Group. Caroline publishes a weekly blog through her website and is a member of the ArtCan advisory committee.
Memory, its distortions, changes over time and its importance to us as humans is a strong source of inspiration as well as the transference and communication of energy through gesture and movement. Things that are invisible yet of huge significance.
The expressive qualities of ink and brush combine to create dynamic paintings which, whilst full of movement, are also contemplative and timeless, meriting slow and repeated viewing.
As in life, chance and working on the edge of control play their part; once a mark is made it cannot be taken back. Perfection is unattainable and undesired.
